I have received some reports that iPhoto2Gmail is not compatible with the newly released iPhoto '08. I do not have iLife '08 yet so I am currently unable to test and resolve the problem.
I'd also like to apologize to you guys for the long delay since I announced that new plugin versions would be coming soon. I tried to add too many new features and have had almost no free time to work on the plugin. I will try my best to release a new version that includes only the two most requested features -- 1)Saving Acct. Information in Keychain and 2) Autocompletion of addresses...
If I can get a copy of iLife '08 and successfully sleuth the API changes, I hope to also add iPhoto '08 compatibility. As always, these are my best guesses and I just can't promise when I will have some free time to sit down and work on building a great and stable release.
UPDATE:
Apple has released an official API and SDK. In English, that means that it should be simple to get iPhoto '08 working!
UPDATE #2: It seems several folks have had no problems with the plugin and iPhoto '08 (check out the comments)... I've purchased a copy and will try to do some testing this weekend.

A temporary workaround was submitted by droy. If you click on the iPhoto2Gmail tab twice, it will work. I have identified the cause of the problem and it'll be fixed in the next update.

iPhoto2Gmail 0.6 and iPhoto '08 work great together on my MacBook Pro!
I do not know why.
... but it does not work on my iMac core duo.

Just tried the 0.6 plugin with iPhoto '08 on my wife's iMac core 2 duo and my MacBook core duo - works perfectly! She likes it much better than the Picasa plugin she was using with the previous iPhoto version, which doesn't work with '08. Perhaps the issue could be a conflict with another 3rd party plugin? Thanks so much for making this handy tool available for us!

FYI, I had the following export plugins installed when I upgraded:
Facebook
iPhoto2Gmail
Picasaweb
...and after the upgrade, the export window would not even open for me on my MBP Core Duo! After I upgraded the Facebook plugin, the export window opened again, but iPhoto2Gmail and Picasaweb were still not working. So maybe the issues are related to other export plugins?
Try clicking on the iPhoto2Gmail tab in the export window *twice*...it worked for me. Clicking it once didn't display anything, *twice* did the trick.
Hi, iPhoto2Gmail doesn't work anymore with the iPhoto 7.0.2 upgrade released yesterday. No more tab in export window!
Any idea when we could see next release?
I have iPhoto 7.02 (341) and the iPhototoGmail tab doesn't even show up in the export window
