A couple of folks have written in wondering how to log in to iPhoto2Gmail or Aperture2Gmail using their Google-hosted domain. The feature is not obvious, and unless you are really poking around for it, you will likely not realize that if you hover on the "@gmail.com" text you'll see the tooltip pictured above! Thanks to a kind anonymous user who offered a succinct how-to in the comments:
Just click on the '@gmail.com' portion of the login window, and you can replace it with any GAFYD domain!
I'll add this to the FAQ soon, for now this should help Googlers looking for an answer.
with constructive criticism and bug reports!

Please take this as a constructive comment. ;) While that is an interesting choice, it is poor user interface design. Most people (including this computer programmer) will not figure out that you have to click on what looks like a static label.
Instead I suggest you remove the "@gmail.com" box. My first instinct is to enter my full GApps Email address as a username. Then it would be a trivial matter for the code to parse the domain. Of course if no domain is specified it is safe to assume gmail.com. ;)
Thanks for the feedback, Brian. I fully agree and will make the suggested changes in a future version.
